Support
Questions, problems, and how to reach a person.
The quickest way to get help is to email support@dailysaintreflections.com . It is read by Jeffrey Edwards, who makes the app. Please include your device model and iOS version if you are reporting a problem — it saves a round trip.
You can also write from inside the app, under Settings → Contact, which opens a message ready to send.
Common questions
How do I restore my purchase?
Open the Premium screen in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account that made the original purchase — restoring will not find a subscription bought under a different account.
If you get Premium through Family Sharing, the annual subscription must still be active on the account of the family member who bought it. Only the annual plan is family shareable — a monthly subscription cannot be shared, so it will not restore onto anyone else’s account.
What is the free trial, and what happens when it ends?
The annual plan begins with a two-week free trial if you have not had one before. Nothing is charged during it. If you cancel before the two weeks are up you pay nothing at all; if you do nothing, the annual subscription begins automatically when the trial ends.
The monthly plan has no trial and bills immediately.
How do I change the daily reminder time?
In Settings, turn on the daily reminder and pick a time. It defaults to 8:00 in the morning. The reminder is scheduled by your iPhone itself, so it arrives whether or not you have a connection.
If reminders are not arriving at all, check iOS Settings → Notifications → Daily Saint Reflections and confirm notifications are allowed.
Where are my journal entries stored?
On your device, in a private storage area belonging to the app. They are not uploaded to any server, and there is no way for anyone else — including the developer — to read them.
Are my journal entries backed up?
Not to any service run by this app. Entries live on your device only.
If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer, your entries are included in that backup along with the rest of the app’s data, and they will be restored if you restore that backup to a new device. There is currently no device-to-device sync: entries written on an iPhone will not appear on an iPad signed in to the same account.
Sync across devices is being considered for a future release, but it has not shipped. If it does, this page and the privacy policy will be updated before it does.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by the app.
Go to Manage Subscriptions, or on your iPhone open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, then choose Daily Saint Reflections and cancel. You keep Premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Cancelling during the annual free trial ends it with nothing charged.
Cancelling does not delete your journal. Your entries stay on your device.
Does the app work without an internet connection?
Yes. Every saint, biography, and reflection prompt is stored inside the app. Reading the day’s saint, writing in your journal, and receiving your daily reminder all work with no connection. A connection is only needed to make a purchase or to open a web link like this page.
The widget is showing the wrong saint
Update to the latest version — a bug that showed the wrong saint on some days, particularly around the end of February in non-leap years, was fixed. If it persists after updating, remove the widget and add it again, then email support with your device model and the date it got wrong.
Something else
If your question is not here, email support@dailysaintreflections.com . It is a small operation, so replies come from a person rather than a helpdesk, and usually within a few days.
